Match 1: Ryan Harris’ last ball six stuns Queensland

On 13th December 2006, South Australia and Queensland faced each other in Ford Ranger ODI Cup. The match was evenly poised until the last ball with SA needing 5 runs to win off last 1 delivery. The bowler was Lachlan Stevens while test cricketer Ryan Harris was batting. Ironically the delivery was juicy half-volley which was hammered over long on boundary for a mammoth six resulting in SA’s win.

Match 2: Australia cruise to one run win in a nail biter

It was the 12th match of the Carlton Series that was played between Australia and Zimbabwe in February 2001 with Zimbabwe needing 15 runs to win off 6 balls with 6 wickets in hand. Experienced Glenn McGrath had the ball in his hand while it was Dougie Marillier from Zimbabwe to face the first ball. Remarkably he scooped 2 fours on first 3 deliveries with 5 runs to get off last 3 deliveries. The batsmen sneaked 2 singles before eventually losing the match by run on the last ball by 1 run. Match 3: Charl Langeveldt’s hat-trick topples West Indies

West Indies needed 4 runs off last 6 balls to win the match against South Africa in 2005 at Barbados. 3 wickets were remaining and Charl Langeveldt was the bowler. First 2 balls of his over went for 2 runs and WI then required 2 runs off 4 balls. Thereafter, something happened that nobody ever expected. Langeveldt first removed Ian Bradshaw with a terrific delivery to disturb his stumps. The bowler also dismissed the incoming batsman Darren Powell with a superb reverse swinging delivery. Langeveldt was on a hat trick and unbelievably he achieved it by removing the last man as well to complete one of the most remarkable hat-tricks in ODI cricket.
