The Chappell Headley trophy has ended in a great fashion for New Zealand. The Kiwis have won the One Day series with tremendous win over the Australians in the third decider match.
Now Captain Steve Smith is concerned about his test match performance in the first match at Basin. The pitch has been reviewed and tested by the Australian players. They have been practicing on the grassy green ground before the test match. It has been reported that 15 wickets have fallen down before the test match has even started.
New Zealand’s captain Brendon McCullum has been on the pith with his boys as well. After the retirement of McCullum from the ODI cricket, he is still the leader of the pack in the test match series against Australia.
McCullum will do a great job in the test matches for the Kiwis because now he has no pressure of the ODI games. The pitch is going to behave in favor of batsman or bowlers in going to be a surprise on Friday morning on 12th February.
The teams will decide to bat or bowl depending on the pitch condition. So far the wicket has helped the bowlers too in the practice session. The wicket is supposed to play well for batting side as well. Amazingly the current Australian test team which is playing this first test match has no experience on this ground for playing a test match before.
